Jalen O'Bannon is now a member of the 2011 Tennessee State Champions. This has been quite a year for the Lady Bobcats National Travel Club Members. O'Bannon scored 11 points in Saturdays State Championship win.
2011 is been quite a season for the young ladies of the Lady Bobcats Organization from the Summer of 2010. Starting with the youngest member in Rodrea Echols who was on the middle school State Championship Team at Snowden Middle. Taylor Pugh, Samantha McColgan and Dakota Doss would play in the State Championship in the Division II State Title game. Briarcrest would come up short but the girls really showed their skills and represented the Bobcats Organization really well. Then comes Taylor Beverly of the Northwest Rankin High School of Brandon Mississippi who would carry her team to their first ever state Championship in 5A. Courtney Epting, Kiera Jordan, Dominique Brothern would take their team to a 27-0 undefeated season and the first state title in 43 years. Savannah Kimmons of Hornlake would go back to the state for back to back appearances. Alisa Ross and Jammeica Hudson would also make state championship appearance this year. 12 young ladies with a championship desire to becoming champions in 2011. Now its on to the Summer Circuit for some and to college for the others. Congrats to all of the Lady Bobcats National Travel team and their High Schools.
This Season is going to be promising for the returning young ladies and the newcomers of the program.
