The Rage on the River was a Success
The 2nd Annual Rage on the River drew in some top talent and teams into Memphis. Several teams withdrew from the tournament due to misinterpretation of the Memphis Flooding. Once the other teams arrived to Memphis they realized that the media was misleading. Memphis was wide open, the grills was smoking, the Blues was playing and the refs tossed it up at the Rage on the River Girls Basketball Tournament.
The Rage featured teams from all over the Southwest and the Southeast. This event has been label one of the best non-viewing event for girls in Memphis.
In the Top Division which was called the BIG 12 DIVISION in respect of the National Championship Team which came from the BIG 12. The Memphis Elite-Daniels Team would win the Championship Game with the return of Danielle Ballard scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds the impact player though was Kelsey Briggs with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
The Elite would beat St. Louis Team adidas-White 58-50.
